CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Eastlake senior shortstop Marcelo Mayer saw his high school career end with an 8-6 loss to Ayala on Tuesday night but made the most of his final at-bat by hitting a first pitch fastball over the right field wall for a grand slam.
