Chester (Pennsylvania) quarterback Jalen Harris is most impressive freshman football player in nation, fans decide
Jalen Harris has gotten off to a running and flying start in his high school career.
The Chester High School freshman piled up 20 touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns through his first five games.
Last week he proved he could pile up fan votes as well, as he won SBLive Sports' poll to decide who's been the most impressive freshman football player in 2022.
Harris amassed 117,456 votes (49.66%) to beat out Bolingbrook (Illinois) freshman quarterback Jonas Williams' 73,362 votes (31.02%).
The 6-foot-1 quarterback already owns Chester High School's single-season record for touchdown passes, and odds are in his favor to keep adding to that over the next few years.
