JJ Taylor leaves Donda Academy, will join Mikey Williams at San Ysidro

The 6-foot-8 wing will form a dynamic duo with the No. 2-ranked high school prospect in the nation in terms of NIL valuation

The Donda Academy exodus has begun.

JJ Taylor, a four-star 6-foot-8 wing, transferred from Kenwood in Chicago to Kanye West's school in California last October, and now he's on the move again.

Taylor will link up with five-star guard Mikey Williams at San Ysidro High School in San Diego:

The Donda Academy principal announced late Wednesday that the school would be closing in the aftermath of antisemitic remarks made by West, and the story has been kind of all over the place since then.

The fallout from West's comments began with a Kentucky high school basketball tournament dropping Donda Academy.

But back to the basketball players, Taylor should form quite a duo with Williams, who transferred back to San Ysidro after playing there as a freshman. He played the past two seasons in North Carolina.

Williams' NIL valuation is ranked second in the nation by On3, trailing only Sierra Canyon superstar Bronny James and one spot ahead of Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning.
