5-star guard Mikey Williams will return to San Ysidro High School for senior season

Williams was a first-team All-CIF selection after his freshman season at San Ysidro where he averaged 30 points per game.

Class of 2023 five-star basketball recruit Mikey Williams will return to San Ysidro High School (California) for his senior season, he announced Saturday on social media.

Williams helped lead the Cougars to the San Diego Section Division 3 CIF Championship as a freshman before transferring to North Carolina for the past two seasons.

Williams averaged 23 points, six assists, and five rebounds per game this past season while playing for Vertical Academy (North Carolina).

Williams will be returning to a San Ysidro squad that reached the San Diego Section Open Division Championship game in 2021-22, but graduated eight seniors including Sebastian Medina, Martin Flores, and Miguel Figueroa.

Williams is an electric athlete who had multiple highlight-reel dunks during his freshman year at San Ysidro, including this tip-dunk over Evan Mobley who is now a rookie with the Cleveland Cavaliers:
