Who are the Gatorade high school football players of the year in each state?
The Gatorade high school state players of the year were announced on Thursday, an honor the sports drink company gives to the top boy and girl athlete by sport in each state.
Athletes are honored in football, volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls soccer, softball, baseball and boys and girls track and field. One winner from each sport is then chosen as the Gatorade National Player of the Year, based on the criteria of athletic excellence, academics and character, the sports drink company says.
