Congratulations to Scituate wide receiver James Cannonfor being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 18-24!

The senior had eight receptions for 117 yards and scored two touchdowns in Scituate’s 35-7 win over Quincy.

Cannon ran away with this week’s honor, receiving 60.13% of the total vote.

George Andrianopoulos, Millbury WR/DB

Andrianopoulos caught a 60-yard touchdown pass and intercepted two passes on defense to lead Millbury to a 41-8 win over Southridge.

Brendan Burke, Quaboag RB

Burke carried the ball 30 times for 190 yards and two touchdowns in Quaboag’s 34-22 win over David Prouty.

Joe Curran, Hanover WR

Curran caught 4 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Hanover’s 42-15 win over Pembroke.

Liam Donagher, Grafton WR

Donagher caught a 9-yard touchdown pass and returned a kick 63 yards for a touchdown in Grafton’s 43-0 win over Tantasqua. Donagher also kicked five PATs.

Nick Freel, Hanover ATH

Freel rushed for 145 yards and had 85 yards receiving and a touchdown in Hanover’s 42-15 win over Pembroke.

Thomas Hirsh, Maynard RB

Hirsh rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns in Maynard’s 23-6 win over Oakmont.

Brian Holmes, Ayer-Shirley QB

Holmes threw two touchdowns passes and rushed for a TD to lead Ayer-Shirley to a 20-16 win over Abby Kelley.

Michael Landolfi, Hanover QB

Landolfi was 10-of-12 for 265 yards and five touchdowns in Hanover’s 42-15 win over Pembroke.

Josh Mateo, Valley Tech RB

Mateo rushed 11 times for 215 yards and three touchdowns to lead Valley Tech to a 56-14 win over Bay Path.

Tucker McDonald, Wachusett QB

McDonald threw three touchdown passes in Wachusett’s 35-7 win over Leominster.

Michael Mero, Leicester QB

Mero passed for a TD, ran for a TD and kicked a 46-yard field goal in Leicester’s 24-12 win over Uxbridge.

Brett Morgan, Oxford RB

Morgan scored three touchdowns – two rushing and one receiving – to lead Oxford to a 48-0 win over Bartlett.

Cole Nelson, Clinton RB

Nelson rushed 19 times for 185 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 67-yard TD pass in Clinton’s 42-13 win over Tyngsboro.

Quinn O’Brien, Hudson RB

O’Brien rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns in Hudson’s 26-8 win over Middlesex.

Matthew Raeke, Wachusett RB

Raeke scored three touchdowns – two receiving and one rushing – to lead Wachusett to a 35-7 win over Leominster.

Keegan Sullivan, Scituate WR/RB

Sullivan racked up 183 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the first half and added an interception on defense in Scituate’s 35-7 win over Quincy.

Calvin Tenney, Murdock RB

Tenney rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns to lead Murdock to a 27-6 win over Gardner.

Colin Wanat, Doherty WR/SS

Wanat caught a touchdown pass and returned a blocked punt for a TD in Doherty’s 49-12 win over North on Saturday.

Jarius Williams, Murdock RB

Williams rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown in Murdock’s 27-6 win over Gardner.

Carolina Bettero, Revere Girls Soccer

Bettero scored her 100th career goal in a 4-0 win against Malden on Thursday. She then added No. 101 and 102 on Senior Day. 

Hailey Dwight, Pentucket Field Hockey

Had a goal and an assist to help Pantucket secure their first Cape Ann League field hockey title after a 2-0 win vs. Amesbury.

Kathryn Gauvin, Durfee Field Hockey

Gauvin set a new school record for Durfee of 33 goals with her hat trick against Dighton-Rehoboth. 

Ava Crane, DartmouthGirls Volleyball

Crane recorded 15 aces, 27 service points, and nine kills in Darmouth’s victory against New Bedford.
