Regional Bowl Games set for 2021 CIF State Football Championships: brackets, game times
State championship football is back in California.
After a hiatus last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, high school football state championship games will be played in 2021.
The CIF released the Open Division State Championship matchup as well as the North and South Regional Bowl Game matchups on Sunday afternoon.
In the Open Division matchup, Mater Dei, the top-ranked high school football team in the country in the SBLive Power 25, will play Serra (San Mateo) on Dec. 11 at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif.
Here are the Regional Bowl Game matchups with brackets and game times:
North: Folsom at De La Salle – Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
South: Cathedral Catholic vs. Lutheran, Orange at Orange Coast College – Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
North: Pittsburg vs. Liberty, Bakersfield at Bakersfield College – Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6:00 p.m.
South: Long Beach Poly at Serra – Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6:00 p.m.
North: Bullard at Central Catholic – Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m
South: Helix at Mater Dei Catholic – Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m
North: Manteca at Wilcox – Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6:00 p.m.
