Zion Grady commits to Alabama; Crimson Tide land nation's No. 1 edge rusher

The No. 4 rated prospect in Alabama's 2024 class made his commitment to Nick Saban and Alabama, he announced Sunday. 

Charles Henderson (Alabama) edge rusher Zion Grady set Sunday the day he'd announce his decision after a visit to Alabama in late October he described to SBLive as "great."

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Grady is the nation's No. 1 edge rusher, No. 19 prospect overall and No. 4 recruit in Alabama in the class of 2025, per the 247 Sports Composite. He's the second five-star prospect in Alabama's 2025 class, which is rated No. 1 in the nation.

"How could anyone not want to play for that guy?" Grady told SBLive after his October visit. "He demands commitment and effort. He has a resume like no other." 

As a junior, Grady logged 108 tackles, 22 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for the Trojans (8-3).
