Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Eastern North Carolina high school football defensive player of the week for Nov. 6 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as many times as you like. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Hampton Roderick, Laney: Roderick had an interception return for a touchdown in a 27-13 win over Middle Creek in a first round win in the 4-A playoffs.

Sawyer Lowe, Cleveland: Lowe recorded 18 tackles, a sack, three tackles for loss, forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery in a 57-13 win over Gray's Creek.

Josh Adams, Scotland: Adams had an interception return for a touchdown in a 48-23 win over Rocky Mount in the 3-A playoffs.

Jackson Karcher, Gray's Creek: Karcher had 11 tackles and two interceptions in a 57-13 loss to Cleveland.

Quinton Cypher, Millbrook: Cypher continued his impressive freshman season with 17 tackles, a sack and an interception in a 28-21 win over Heritage.
