Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Western North Carolina high school defensive football player of the week for Nov. 6 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Kenyon Moore, Pisgah: Moore had two interceptions and also caught a 68-yard touchdown pass in a 35-17 win over North Henderson.

Malik Angrum, A.C. Reynolds: Angrum had a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass in a 45-0 win over North Gaston.

Khamoni Heath, Lincolnton: Heath recorded six tackles, a sack, and three tackles for loss in a 35-21 win over North Surry. Heath also ran for 200 yards and four touchdowns.

Ben Sain, West Lincoln: Sain finished with 14 tackles and had a fumble recovery in a 53-35 win over Chase.

Ryan Bassani, North Lincoln: Bassani had 12 tackles and two tackles for a loss in a 50-7 win over Rockingham County.
