Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Western North Carolina high school defensive football player of the week for Nov. 13 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as many times as you want. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Ayden Hines, A.C. Reynolds: Hines had an interception and returned an onside kick for a touchdown in a 15-0 win over Kings Mountain.

Bryce Adams, Robbinsville: Adams had an interception return for a touchdown and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass in a 40-7 win over Mountain Island Charter.

Grae Ponder, West Lincoln: Ponder recorded six tackles and a half-sack in a 35-27 loss to Monroe.

Turner Wood, Hickory: Wood finished with 15 tackles in a 48-28 win over North Lincoln.

Jackson Pryor, Watauga: Pryor blocked a field goal and recorded eight tackles in a 20-14 win over Mallard Creek.
