Here are 10 athletes for your voting consideration

We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Athlete of the Week from Jan. 29-Feb. 3 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Luke Staten, Central Davidson, Boys Basketball

Staten scored 23 points in the Spartans’ 63-60 win over Asheboro. The 6-foot senior guard went over 1,000 points for his career earlier in the season.

Audra Petty, Randleman, Girls Basketball

Petty scored 24 points in a 54-34 win over Eastern Randolph and surpassed the 1,000-point milestone for her career.

Ayden Johnson, Caldwell Academy, Boys Basketball

Johnson scored 24 points and had 5 assists as Caldwell edged Calvary Day 83-80.

Cam Flippen, The Burlington School, Boys Basketball

The 6-foot-1 junior guard scored 15 points and went over 1,000 for his career as the Spartans beat Ravenscroft 77-53.

Jashontae Harris, St. Pauls, Girls Basketball

Harris had 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists as St. Pauls ran away with a 60-29 win over Midway.

Jack McArthur, Uwharrie Charter, Boys Wrestling

McArthur won at 144 pounds and was named MVP as the Eagles defeated Avery County 36-33 to win their second consecutive 1-A dual team state championship.

Madison Huffman, Hickory Christian, Girls Swimming

Huffman, who is a 13-year-old eighth grader, won the 500 free by a wide margin in the Foothills Athletic Conference championship meet. She also won 100 backstroke.

Morgan Repasky, McDowell, Girls Wrestling

Repasky won the 100-pound championship in the NCHSAA Western Regional. Repasky pinned Freedom’s Yaleen Khang in the championship match.

Colton Roberts, Seaforth, Boys Swimming

Roberts dominated the 200 free and 500 free in the 1-A/2-A Central Regional championships. The sophomore standout won the 200 free by nearly seven seconds and the 500 free by 33 seconds.

Augustine Koroma, Southeast Alamance, Boys Indoor Track and Field

Koroma was a triple winner in the 1-A/2-A Mid-Carolina Polar Bear championships, taking the 55 meter hurdles, the 300 meter hurdles as well anchoring his team’s 4x200 relay.
