Richmond Heights routs Berlin Hiland to reach state championship game: Ohio Division 4 boys semifinals recap

The biggest scare for Richmond Heights on Saturday at University of Dayton Arena came on the second possession of the game, when star Josiah Harris went down grabbing his knee.

But the 6-foot-7 future West Virginia Mountaineer returned with his knee wrapped, and the Spartans cruised to a 59-21 win over Berlin Hiland despite getting just 14 minutes from their star player.

Jaiden Cox-Holloway and London Maiden scored 12 points each and Harris added 10 to send Richmond Heights to the championship game Sunday seeking the program's first state title.

The Spartans shot 61% from the field (58% from 3), held Hiland to 21% shooting and out-rebounded the Hawks 32-11.

Richmond Heights freshman DeErick Barber had a game-high 11 assists, and Dylan Miller led Hiland with nine points, with all three of his field goals coming from 3-point range.

Tri-Village 44, Antwerp 41

Layne Sarver scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help Tri-Village advance to the state championship game with a back-and-forth win over Antwerp on Saturday.

Tri-Village will play Richmond Heights and 5:15 p.m. Sunday at UD Arena for the Division IV state championship.

Landon Brewer led Antwerp with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Jagger Landers scored 11 and grabbed nine rebounds.
