Ohio high school football roundup: 5 games of note from around the state (9/15/2023)
There were plenty of good matchups in high school football around the state of Ohio on Friday night, highlighted by SBLive Ohio Power 25 No. 4 Massillon's 15-13 win over No. 1 St. Edward, with coverage by SBLive's Ryan Isley.
SBLive also had coverage of No. 16 Gahanna Lincoln's 49-14 win over Pickerington Central, as Aaron Blankenship was at the game.

Here are five other games of note from around the Buckeye State on Friday night:
No. 5 Princeton 22, Hamilton 16
It looked like the Vikings might suffer their first defeat of the season, but Daelyn Jarman hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Deangelo Birch with just 12 seconds remaining in the game to give Princeton the win.
Hamilton had taken the lead - its first of the game - with 7:53 left in the fourth quarter when Antonio Mathis hit R.J. Shephard-Ruffin with a 5-yard touchdown pass to make it 16-14.
No. 6 Archbishop Hoban 35, St. Ignatius 0
The Knights just keep rolling, this time with a shutout over St. Ignatius, the second straight shutout for the Hoban defense.
The defense also scored for the Knights, as Elbert "Rock" Hill and Tysen Campbell each returned interceptions for scores.
Offensively, Hoban got rushing touchdowns from Hill, quarterback Tylan "Juice" Boykin and running back Caleb Jones.
Archbishop Moeller 20, No. 8 St. Xavier 10
After dropping out of the SBLive Ohio Power 25, Moeller got back to its winning ways.
The Crusaders started the scoring in the first quarter when Alex French picked up a fumble and returned it 33 yards for a score.
Running back Jordan Marshall, a Michigan commit, scored from four yards out in the second quarter to make it 14-0.
After St. Xavier got on the board with a field goal in the third quarter, Devin Orr hit field goals in the third and fourth quarter to make it 20-3.
The Bombers scored their only touchdown midway through the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass from Chase Herbstreit to Steven Napier.
No. 22 Elder 31, St. Xavier (Kentucky) 21
After nearly beating St. Edward a week ago, the Panthers went across state lines and picked up their third win of the season.
Quarterback Ryan Brass ran for 149 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries while also throwing for 79 yards for Elder. His final score came with Elder leading 24-21 midway through the fourth quarter to make it a two-score game.
No. 24 Canton McKinley 28, Green 27
Trailing 27-7 at halftime, Canton McKinley scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to pull out the come-from-behind victory.
Xavier Harris started the scoring in the second half with a 33-yard touchdown reception from Keaton Rode and Stephon Thomas scored on a 2-yard run to cut the lead to 27-21 with just over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter.
The final score came on a Nino Hill 21-yard run with 4:57 left int he game and the PAT by Keaton Rode, the McKinley quarterback, gave the Bulldogs their first lead of the game.
The McKinley defense sealed the win with interceptions by Shaukeer Hatcher and Dante McClellan on the final two Green possessions.
