Ohio boys high school basketball Top 25 rankings: St. Ignatius leads the way

Three of last year's four state champions are ranked in the top 25

The turn of the calendar to a new year means it is time to unveil the first edition of this season's SBLive Ohio boys basketball Power 25. 

The young basketball season has been met with countless surprises already. While in past seasons there seems to be a small handful of teams who rose to the top, that is not the case this season. Very few teams have been truly dominant, which will make for an exciting state playoff beginning next month. But for now, it makes the job of picking the top 25 extremely difficult.

A strong start to the season has earned head coach Cameron Joyce and St. Ignatius the top spot. 

Three defending state champions - Lutheran East (No. 4), Buchtel (No. 20) and Richmond Heights (No. 21) - and two runners-up from last year - Ottawa-Glandorf (No. 10) and Lutheran West (No. 13) - find their way into the rankings,
