SBLive Oklahoma Top 25 baseball rankings: Class 2A champion Silo finishes 30-0 and No. 1 in the final rankings for 2022

A spring baseball dynasty continues for the top-ranked team in the final SBLive Oklahoma Top 25 baseball rankings. 

Many streaks continued for the team that finished No. 1, and if this trend continues, a year from now the chances are good it can be the state's top-ranked squad once again.

With the high school baseball season officially having wrapped up last weekend, here now are the final SBLive Oklahoma Top 25 high school baseball rankings.

1. Silo (30-0)

The Rebels completed their perfect season in grand style with a Class 2A state championship, their fifth straight spring baseball title, in last Saturday's 7-3 win against Oktaha. In addition, Silo has currently won 58 straight games, and next season, the Rebels can break the all-time consecutive wins record by an Oklahoma baseball squad, which is 66, set by Capitol Hill from 1953-54.

2. Owasso (33-8)

Owasso navigated an imposing field at the 6A State Tournament to come away with the title, the 14th in program history. The Rams got past Edmond Memorial, 8-7, in the quarterfinal round before largely controlling things in their semifinal and championship game wins, including building a 7-1 lead in their eventual 7-3 win against Edmond Santa Fe for the title.

3. Blanchard (35-5)

The Lions avenged two regular-season losses to archrival Tuttle by rallying to defeat the Tigers, 6-5, on Brennan Milligan's RBI walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to claim the 4A championship. It was the first state title for Blanchard since 2019.

4. Duncan (29-7)

In Grant Oliver's first season as coach, he led the Demons to their first-ever state championship when they won the 5A crown. Duncan jumped out to an early 7-0 lead en route to a 15-4 run rule win against Piedmont.

5. Washington (32-9)

Another school won its first state championship, as Washington prevailed to claim the 3A title. The Warriors rolled past Kingston, 13-2, in six innings as the Warriors finally struck gold.

6. Edmond Santa Fe (31-12)

The Wolves used a pair of Blake Seefeldt home runs to reach the 6A title game. Seefeldt hit a two-run homer in a 3-1 quarterfinal win against Enid; then hit a grand slam in a 5-2 win against Westmoore in the semifinals.

7. Edmond Deer Creek (31-11)

In a wild 6A quarterfinal, the Antlers outlasted Jenks, 14-13. But they were unable to duplicate similar magic the next day, as Owasso ended Deer Creek's run in the semifinals.

8. Tuttle (36-9)

Tuttle rallied in the late innings in both its 4A quarterfinal and semifinal wins, the latter rallying from a 5-2 deficit in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Elk City. The Tigers nearly did it again in Saturday's 4A title game, but Blanchard flipped the script, as the Lions rallied themselves to claim the championship.

9. Bixby (33-8)

A stellar season for the Spartans came to an abrupt end in the 6A quarterfinals, as a late rally fell short in a 9-8 loss to Westmoore.

10. Piedmont (32-9)

The Wildcats survived two tough tests in the 5A tournament to reach the championship game. They beat McAlester, 6-5, in the quarterfinals and 10-8 against Sapulpa in the semis. But Piedmont fell behind early and was unable to climb out of that hole in a run rule loss to Duncan.

11. Heritage Hall (30-5)

Heritage Hall had scored a total of 47 runs in its 3A regional tournament. But the Chargers were held to just two runs in a 5-2 loss to Salina in the quarterfinal round.

12. Verdigris (30-5)

Verdigris had reeled off 13 straight wins prior to advancing to the 4A state tournament. The Cardinals, however, were stymied by Elk City in the quarterfinals, as the Elks ended the Cardinals' season with a 7-3 decision.

13. Jenks (34-7)

Jenks also entered its state tournament on a roll before being ousted in the quarterfinal round. The Trojans had won 12 straight ballgames until a wild 14-13 loss to Edmond Deer Creek in the 6A semifinals.

14. Sapulpa (29-11)

The Chieftains seemed to be on their way to reaching the 5A title game after building an 8-4 lead in the semifinal round against Piedmont. But Sapulpa was unable to hang on to that lead, as the Wildcats stormed back to deny the Chieftains a trip to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday.

15. Collinsville (35-8)

In its 5A quarterfinal, Collinsville rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to outlast Midwest City Carl Albert, 17-11. But they were unable to do the same in the 5A semifinals, as Duncan built an 11-1 lead to eventually end the Cardinals' season, 17-6.

16. Westmoore (30-12)

The Jaguars picked up their 30th win by getting past Bixby, 9-8, in the 6A quarterfinals. However, their run ended the following day as Edmond Santa Fe used a grand slam to get past the Jaguars.

17. Victory Christian (33-9)

Victory's season was halted in the 3A quarterfinals by the team which eventually won it all. Washington eliminated the Conquerors with a 15-5 win as part of an unpredictable opening day of the 3A tournament.

18. Sand Springs (31-8)

The Sandites fell short of reaching the 6A state tournament as they were defeated twice in a home regional to Enid.

19. Marlow (31-9)

Marlow outlasted Lincoln Christian in the 4A quarterfinals, 14-7. The Outlaws also led Blanchard midway through their semifinal before the Lions broke through late to end Marlow's season, 5-1.

20. Kingston (28-8)

The Redskins won 16 of 17 ballgames – with their only loss in that span coming to eventual 2A champion Silo – to reach the 3A title game. Kingston defeated Oklahoma Christian School in the quarterfinals, 2-0, and used a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-3 win against Keys in the semifinals.

21. Elk City (29-10)

Elk City downed Verdigris in the 4A quarterfinals and were three outs away from a trip to the 4A title game. But after taking a 5-2 lead in the top of the seventh in the semifinal round, the Elks gave up four runs as Tuttle stormed back for a stunning 6-5 decision.

22. Roff (29-3)

With a 9-3 win against Fort Cobb-Broxton on May 9 for the Class B title, the Tigers claimed their fourth consecutive spring baseball state championship.

23. Red Oak (26-7)

Red Oak ended its season with consecutive 7-6 wins; the latter against top-ranked Canute to claim the Class A championship. It was the Eagles' first spring baseball state title since 2016.

24. Oktaha (30-8)

The Tigers hadn't lost to a Class 2A team all season until the title game, when they were the latest victim to Silo's epic run. Oktaha did defeat Latta in the quarterfinals, 9-3, and downed Dale, 6-2, in the semifinals to reach the championship round.

25. Salina (31-9)

At one point late in the season, the Wildcats reeled off 11 straight wins. They also won four straight postseason games; the latter a 5-2 win against Heritage Hall in the 3A quarterfinals. But Salina's run ended the next day, a 9-3 semifinal loss to eventual champ Washington.
