Vote: Who should be SBLive's Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week (2/5/2024)?

It's a new month, and especially with playoff basketball on the horizon, several athletes statewide continue to make themselves noticed. 

Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to nominate an athlete, email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com or tag us on Twitter. 

DeShawn Denson, Midwest City boys basketball

Denson scored 20 points as the Bombers held off rival Del City, 57-56. The win was the 14th in the past 15 games for Midwest City.

Jaden Nickens, Oklahoma City Douglass boys basketball

The long-awaited Trojan debut for the University of Oklahoma football signee was a success, as Nickens finished with 25 points in a 58-48 win against Victory Christian on Feb. 2, the 11th win in a row for Douglass.

Keeley Parks, Norman girls basketball

Parks scored 29 points apiece in a pair of victories for the Lady Tigers. She had 29 points and five steals in a 42-37 win against Edmond Santa Fe; then had a 29-point performance to go along with eight rebounds and eight steals in a decisive win against Northwest Classen.

Kori Rainwater, Tahlequah girls basketball

Rainwater turned in a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds as the surging Lady Tigers defeated Tulsa Booker T. Washington, 62-54, on Feb. 1. She also had 17 points in Tahlequah's 84-35 win against Pryor on Jan. 30.

Dylan Warlick, Edmond North boys basketball

Warlick had double-doubles on consecutive nights to help lead the Huskies - aiming for a third straight 6A title - to a pair of wins. On Feb. 2, he had 27 points and 15 rebounds - along with eight assists - in a 65-46 win at Mustang. The next night, he had 21 points and more than 10 rebounds as North defeated Putnam City North, 68-42.

Adriana Radinovic, Edmond Deer Creek girls basketball

Just a freshman, Radinovic had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds in a 54-50 win against Putnam City North. Sh also went 11-of-12 from the field.

Tylyn Thurman, Shawnee girls basketball

Thurman scored 20 points and made six 3-pointers as the Lady Wolves prevailed, 51-25, against Crossings Christian on Feb. 2. It was also the 300th win for longtime Shawnee coach Wendi Wells.

ShaLyn Edmondson, Bristow girls basketball

Edmondson scored 21 points as the Lady Pirates defeated Kiefer, 59-24, on Feb. 2.

Dalen Fuller, Tulsa Union boys basketball

Fuller had 21 points as the Redhawks picked up an important district win, beating Owasso on Feb. 2, 53-49.

Aaliyah Shawnee, Glenpool girls basketball

Shawnee had at least 30 points in three games last week for the Lady Warriors - all wins. She had 30 in a 50-49 win against Lincoln Christian on Jan. 30, 32 points in a 72-56 win against Bishop McGuinness on Feb. 2 and 30 points in a 72-54 win the following day against Ardmore.

Keziah Lofton, Bethany girls basketball

The Oklahoma commit is helping the Lady Bronchos get in position to make another run at a Class 4A state title. She averaged 25.3 points and shot 60 percent from the field as Bethany picked up three wins last week.

Brooklyn Miles, Pawhuska girls basketball

Miles had 29 points - going 11-of-18 from the field - along with eight boards, seven steals, five assists and three blocks in a decisive win against Woodland on Jan. 29.

Ashtyn Warford, Ketchum girls basketball

Warford scored 36 points, a career high, and added 10 rebounds as Ketchum downed Welch, 60-14, on Jan. 30.

Mallory Reames, Fairview girls basketball

Reames had a team-high 12 points as Fairview outlasted Cashion in overtime, 44-40, on Jan. 30.

Emmett Pickens, Ardmore boys basketball

Pickens led his team with 23 points and converted three 3-pointers in the Tigers' 78-51 win against Destiny Christian on Feb. 2.

Saniyah Morrison, Tulsa Rogers girls basketball

Morrison scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds and made seven assists in a 64-59 win against Holland Hall on Feb. 2. She also scored her 1,000th career point in the victory by the Lady Ropers.

Taylor Bilby, Sapulpa girls basketball

Billy had 17 points and converted five 3-pointers as the defending Class 5A state champions picked up an important District 5A-4 win on Feb. 2, defeating Coweta, 58-35.

Amiya Williams, Duncan girls basketball

Williams had 22 points as the Lady Demons improved to 17-3 on the season after a 54-34 win against Woodward on Feb. 2.

Carter Reid, Woodward boys basketball

Reid had a team-high 14 points - 10 coming in the first half - to pace the Boomers past Duncan, 56-39, on Feb. 2.

Kadynce Delt, Howe girls basketball

Delt helped the Lady Lions win a pair of games against ranked foes. She had seven of her 19 points in the final quarter as Howe handed Class A No. 3 ranked Quinton its first loss of the season, 56-52, on Jan. 30. Three nights later, Delt had 17 points as the Lady Lions outlasted a Class A Top 10 ranked Red Oak squad, 65-60.

Maddi Stewart, Lincoln Christian girls basketball

Stewart had 11 points and 16 rebounds in a win against Quinton on Feb. 3. She also had 20 points, eight boards and three blocks in a win against Metro Christian the night before. 

EJ James, Muskogee boys basketball

James had a total of 65 points in three games last week for the Roughers. That included 32 points in a win against Southmoore as well as 21 points in a win against Jenks. He also had four rebounds and three steals in each of those games.

Trashaun Combs-Pierce, Norman boys basketball

Combs-Pierce scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had five assists and blocked four shots as the Tigers picked up their 10th consecutive win, defeating Northwest Classen, 60-46, on Feb. 2.

Lilly Travis, Sperry girls basketball

Travis turned in a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds to go along with three assists as the Lady Pirates posted a 56-37 win against Cleveland on Feb. 2.

Nazhoni Sleeper, El Reno girls basketball

Sleeper had a career-high 30 points and went 6-of-9 from 3-point range as the Lady Indians improved their record to 19-0 with a 67-36 win against Crossings Christian on Jan. 29. She also had five steals and six deflections.
