Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Baker boys basketball

The Bulldogs earned a 76-37 win at Pendleton to move to 20-0 (4-0 in Greater Oregon League play). Junior guard Isaiah Jones led a balanced Baker scoring attack with 15 points. Junior Jaron Long and junior Jaxon Logsdon each added 13 points.

Corvallis girls basketball

The Spartans triumphed 71-31 at McKay and they won 52-24 at home against Dallas in Mid-Willamette Conference play, giving them four wins in a row and 10 victories in their past 11 games. The two wins also puts Corvallis in a tie with Silverton atop the conference standings at 10-1 (15-3 overall).

Crater wrestling

The Comets rallied back from a 36-24 deficit with three bouts remaining to get a 40-36 win over Roseburg in a nonleague dual match between traditional state powers at Crater High School. Travis Ege started the late rally with a 12-1 major decision win at 190 pounds. Justin Brehm at 215 and Giovanni Gonzales at 285 then won their matches by fall to give the Comets the dramatic victory.

Crook County girls basketball

The Cowgirls claimed sole possession of first place in the Tri-Valley Conference by notching a 55-50 win over Madras in a league showdown at Crook County High School. Crook County improved to 4-0 in league play and 11-5 overall. Senior post Kaylyn Fildes had a triple-double for the Cowgirls with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 10 steals.

The Cowgirls fought their way to the championship at the Stokes Landing Girls Invitational at Irrigon. Crook County had 177.5 points to take first place at the 16-team tournament. Vale was second with 127. The Cowgirls had three individual champions in June Conner (110 pounds), Taylor Echeverria (115) and MaKenna Duran (120).

Dallas wrestling

The Dragons won the championship at the Hood River Memorial Tournament at Hood River Valley High School. Dallas had the top score at the 13-team event with 363.5 points. Forest Grove was second with 234.4. The Dragons had seven individual champions in Joseph Johnson (120 pounds), Sully Hill (126), Tyler Basey (132), Blake Atterbury (144), Thomas Talmadge (150), Cole Langford (215) and Kyron Dods (285).

Jesuit girls skiing

The Crusaders raced to victory at the Metro League slalom event at Mount Hood Meadows. Jesuit took first place with a total team time of 3 minutes, 20.76 seconds. Sunset was second at 3:24.22. Elissa Ping finished fourth individually with a two-run time of 1:05.43.

Illinois Valley wrestling

The Cougars clawed their way to the championship at the Panther Coastal Clash at Gold Beach High School. Illinois Valley had 123 points to take first place at the 11-team tournament. North Bend was second with 108.5. The Cougars crowned four individual champions in James Conn (106 pounds), Mike Miller (113), Ethan Green (138) and Jozia Williams (165).

Lakeridge girls skiing

The Pacers turned in a dominant performance in winning the Three Rivers League slalom event at Hoodoo. Lakeridge took first place with a team time of 3 minutes, 5.29 seconds. Central Catholic was second at 3:16.25. Jenna Nicholson helped lead the Pacers to the victory, finishing second individually with her two-run mark of 1:00.54.

The Pacers topped rival Lake Oswego 120-50 in a Three Rivers League dual meet finale at the Lake Oswego School District pool. With the win, Lakeridge finished 6-0 in league meets. Senior Rae Dodson won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.

La Pine wrestling

The Hawks soared to victory at the La Pine Frostbite Open at La Pine High School. The host team secured the title with 240.5 points. Lowell was second with 176. The Hawks had six individual champions in Riley Flack (113 pounds), Landyn Philpott (138), Devon Kerr (144), Cache Montgomery (175), Tag Deluca (190) and Dylan Kerr (215).

Lincoln boys skiing

The Cardinals raced to victory at the Three Rivers League slalom race at Hoodoo. Lincoln took first place with a total team time of 2 minutes, 46.53 seconds, edging second-place Lake Oswego, which had a mark of 2:47.30. Lincoln also boasted the individual winner in Lucas Garcia, who had a two-run time of 52.84.

Mazama wrestling

The Vikings triumphed at the Basin’s Best tournament at Lakeview High School. Mazama had 103 points to edge second-place Henley by one point. The Vikings had seven individual champions in Parker Supenia (113 pounds), Hadyn Burk (126), Brody Van Gastel (157), Kris Baldwin (165), Seth McLane (175), Tyson Van Gestel (190) and Armando Galindo (285).

McNary girls wrestling

The Celtics notched a 60-18 win over Sprague to claim the first Central Valley Conference dual match championship. Marlina Martinez (110 pounds), Kaliyanei Hill (125) and Maranda Domnick (155) won their matches by fall in McNary’s title-clinching victory.

North Douglas girls basketball

The Warriors topped Umpqua Valley Christian 41-28 in a Skyline League showdown for their 53rd consecutive win in league play. With the victory, North Douglas claimed sole possession of first place in the Skyline League standings at 9-0 (16-2 overall). Umpqua Valley Christian moved to 8-1 in league play and 18-3 overall. Junior guard Brookyn Cyr scored 18 points.

North Medford boys basketball

The Black Tornado recorded a 59-57 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Eugene High School, giving Coach Scott Plankerhorn his 300th victory. Senior wing Houston Klug scored 23 points.

Oakridge girls wrestling

The Warriors battled their way to victory at the Central Linn Girls Invite at Central Linn High School. Oakridge triumphed at the 12-team tournament with 125 points. Corvallis was second with 74. Kali Williams won a title in the 130-135 weight class.

Oregon City girls basketball

The Pioneers handed West Linn its first loss in Three Rivers League play, topping the Lions 54-48 in a key league game at Oregon City High School. Oregon City, which improved to 3-1 in league games and 10-6 overall, got 14 points, five rebounds and three steals from senior Samara Lugo.

Pleasant Hill boys basketball

The Billies picked up their sixth consecutive win, and eighth in their past nine games, by rolling to a 74-57 victory at Elmira in a Mountain Valley Conference contest. Pleasant Hill improved to 7-1 in conference play (16-3 overall), putting the Billies in a tie with Harrisburg for first place in the conference standings. Junior guard Gavin Inglish scored 30 points.

Ridgeview girls wrestling

The Ravens claimed the championship at the La Pine Frostbite Girls Open at La Pine High School. Ridgeview took first place at the 10-team event with 65 points. Caldera was second with 47. Joselyn Jaimes won an individual title at 102-110 pounds, and Nova Danzig triumphed at 111-125.

Rogue River girls wrestling

Rogue River won the title at the Panthers Coastal Clash Girls Tournament at Gold Beach High School. Rogue River triumphed at the 10-team event with 47 points, edging Brookings-Harbor, which was second with 40. Isabelle Yauch won a title at 179-183 pounds, and Victoria Glade was victorious at 185-192.

Sandy wrestling

The Pioneers battled their way to the championship at the Sherwood Invitational at Sherwood High School. Sandy took first place at the 18-team tournament with 314.5 points. Glencoe was second with 226. Mason Culp at 138 pounds and Matthew Tammad at 215 won individual titles.

Scappoose girls wrestling

Scappoose triumphed at the Guardian Invitational at Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School. Scappoose took first place at the 18-team tournament with 151 points. Grant was second with 110. Emmerson Jarman won an individual title at 100 pounds.

Southridge girls basketball

The Skyhawks posted a 68-58 win over Jesuit in a Metro League game at Southridge High School, forging a three-way tie between Southridge, the Crusaders and Beaverton atop the league standings, all at 6-1. Sophomore Sara Mangan had 23 points and seven rebounds.

Sunset boys skiing

The Apollos triumphed at the Metro League slalom race at Mount Hood Meadows. Sunset had a total team time of 2 minutes, 55.87 seconds, to edge second-place Jesuit, which had a mark of 2:56.13. Jack Mullen led the way for the Apollos, finishing in third place in the individual standings with his two-run tie of 0:56.79.

Western Christian boys basketball

The Pioneers ran to a 76-43 win over previously unbeaten Regis in a Tri-River Conference showdown at Regis High School. Western Christian improved to 11-1 in conference play (20-1 overall). Regis moved to 10-1 in conference games and 19-1 overall.

Woodburn boys basketball

The Bulldogs edged West Albany 61-60 in a thrilling Mid-Willamette Conference showdown at West Albany High School. With the win, Woodburn claimed sole possession of first place in the conference standings at 10-1 (13-4 overall). West Albany moved to 9-2 in conference games and 14-4 overall. Junior Cruz Veliz scored 23 points.
