Banks wrestling
Banks turned in an impressive performance in triumphing at the Class 3A Special District 1 Tournament at Dayton High School. Banks won the title with 440.5 points. Yamhill-Carlton was second with 258.5. Banks crowned four individual district champions in Benjamin Dinan (126 pounds), Owen Turner (132), Philemon Mauck (150) and Mishael Mauck (190).
Benson girls basketball
The Techsters posted a 63-56 win over Jefferson in a Portland Interscholastic League showdown at the Marshall Campus. Benson improved to 9-1 in PIL play and 13-4 overall. Jefferson moved to 8-1 and 15-2. Senior guard Eboni Clay scored a game-high 23 points.
Canby girls swimming
The Cougars turned in a dominant performance in winning the championship at the Northwest Oregon Conference district meet at Parkrose High School. Canby had 332 points. Hood River Valley was second with 230.5. Amanda Yancy won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke, Kali Mull triumphed in the 100 and 200 freestyle events, and Quincy Taliaferro was victorious in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.
Colton boys basketball
The Vikings picked up their first postseason victory in the past six years by tipping Salem Academy 57-55 in double overtime in a Tri-River Conference first-round playoff game at Colton High School.
Crane girls basketball
The Mustangs, who sit atop the latest Class 1A coaches poll, topped No. 2-ranked North Douglas 69-56 in a nonleague showdown at Gilchrist High School. Freshman Kaitlyn Siegner scored 24 points, and freshman Taya Nelson added 14.
Crook County wrestling
The Cowboys claimed the championship at the Class 4A Special District 4 Tournament at Crook County High School. The Cowboys had 440.5 points. La Grande was second with 324.5. Crook County crowned five individual district champions in Chase Hemphill (113 pounds), Chance Yancey (126), Landon Lavey (138), Ethan Lamphere (175) and Gavin Sandoval (190).
Culver wrestling
The Bulldogs claimed the championship at the Class 2A/1A Special District 3 Tournament at Echo High School. Culver triumphed at the 13-team tournament with 257.5 points. Irrigon was second with 210.5. Cole Rahi won an individual district title at 132 pounds, and Carlos Fernandez was victorious at 138.
Dallas girls wrestling
The Dragons roared to victory at the Class 6A/5A Special District 2 Tournament at McKay High School. Dallas took first place at the 26-team event with 244 points. McKay was second with 216.5. Polly Olliff at 110 pounds and Ivy McIntosh at 115 won individual district titles.
Grant Union girls wrestling
The Prospectors claimed the championship at the Class 2A/1A District 3 Tournament at Echo High School. Grant Union had 80 points. Elgin was second with 34. The Prospectors crowned three individual district champions in Zoey Beam (110 pounds), Sivanna Hodge (170) and Mallory Lusco (235).
Harrisburg wrestling
The Eagles soared to victory at the Class 3A Special District 2 Tournament at Sheridan High School. Harrisburg triumphed at the nine-team event with 409 points. Santiam Christian was second with 212.5. Jackson Peterman won a district crown at 126 pounds.
Hood River Valley boys swimming
The Eagles won the team title at the Northwest Oregon Conference district meet at Parkrose High School. Hood River Valley took first place with 254 points, edging second-place Canby, which had 240. Caiden Titus swam to victory in the 100-yard freestyle event.
Illinois Valley wrestling
The Cougars clawed their way to the championship at the Class 2A/1A Special District 2 Tournament at Lowell High School. Illinois Valley had 214 points. Camas Valley was second with 152.4. The Cougars had four individual district champions in James Conn (106 pounds), Mike Miller (113), Ethan Green (138) and Ryan Griffin (150).
Jesuit boys swimming
The Crusaders edged Sunset to win the championship at the Metro League district meet at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton. Jesuit had 526 points. The Apollos were second with 512. Graham Inman won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 butterfly.

The Crusaders had a strong showing in winning the title at the Metro League district meet at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton. Jesuit had 535.5 points. Sunset was second with 387. Stela Sufuentes won the 200-yard freestyle, Sydney Leslie triumphed in the 100 butterfly, Sydney Wilson took first in the 500 freestyle, and Malia McKeen won the 100 backstroke.
Lakeridge girls swimming
The Pacers turned in an impressive performance in winning the Three Rivers League district meet at the Chehalem Aquatic Center in Newberg. Lakeridge had 427 points to outdistance second-place West Linn, which had 298. Junior Sydney Brandvold won the 200-yard freestyle, junior Rae Dodson triumphed in the 100 breaststroke, and junior Jessica Paulsen was victorious in the 100 freestyle.
Mazama wrestling
The Vikings edged Marshfield to claim the championship at the Class 4A Special District 3 Tournament at Marshfield High School. Mazama had 340 points. Marshfield was second with 320. The Vikings crowned three individual district champions in Kris Baldwin (165 pounds), Tyson Van Gastel (190) and Armando Galindo (285).
McNary boys basketball
The Celtics earned a 53-46 win over West Salem in a Central Valley Conference game at McNary High School, snapping the Titans’ win streak at 14 games. Junior guard Steven Adams scored 21 points to lead the way for McNary, which improved to 4-4 in conference play and 12-8 overall.
North Valley wrestling
The Knights fought their way to the championship at the Class 3A Special District 3 Tournament at North Valley High School. The Knights took first place at the 11-team tournament with 315.5 points. South Umpqua was second with 190. Mason Core won an individual district title at 150 pounds.
Nyssa wrestling
The Bulldogs triumphed at the Class 3A Special District 4 Tournament at Burns High School. Nyssa took first place with 297 points. Burns was second with 259. Ashton Wilson at 157 pounds and Jorge Candelas at 285 won individual district titles.
Oakland boys basketball
The Oakers earned a 64-53 win at Lowell in a Valley Coast Conference game to wrap up a perfect regular-season performance, improving to 24-0. Junior guard Coltyn Jacobs and junior post Gabe Williamson each scored 12 points.
Southridge girls wrestling
The Skyhawks edged Hillsboro to win the team title at the Class 6A/5A Special District 1 Tournament at Century High School. Southridge had 167 points to claim first place at the 25-team tournament. Hillsboro was second with 163.
South Medford boys basketball
The Panthers posted an 88-78 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School to move to 8-0 in conference play (14-6 overall). Senior guards Jackson Weiland and Ty Dahlin combined to score 55 points.
Sweet Home wrestling
The Huskies battled their way to the championship at the Class 4A Special District 2 Tournament at Stayton High School. Sweet Home took first place with 466.5 points. Cascade was second with 322. The Huskies crowned eight individual district champions in Jesse Landtroop (106 pounds), Tytus Hardee (113), Kyle Sieminski (120), Jayce Miller (126), Kyle Zajic (144), Luke Rosa (157), Ashton Swanson (175) and Lynkin Royer (215).
Tillamook wrestling
The Cheesemakers won the championship at the Class 4A Special District 1 Tournament at Estacada High School. Tillamook triumphed with 338 points. Estacada was second with 293. The Cheesemakers crowned four individual district winners in Bryce Haltiner (113 pounds), Jak Hopkes (120), Chance Fletcher (132) and Koi Smith (190).
Thurston girls wrestling
The Colts battled their way to the championship at the Class 6A/5A Special District 3 Tournament at Redmond High School. Thurston totaled 292 points. Redmond was second with 228. Rubie Winterburn won an individual district crown at 100 pounds.
Vale girls basketball
The Vikings notched a 42-32 win over Burns in an Eastern Oregon League finale at Vale High School. With the win, its 12th in a row, Vale went 10-0 in league play while improving to 21-2 overall.
Western Christian girls basketball
The Pioneers recorded a 53-49 overtime win over Sutherlin in a nonleague battle between two of the state’s top Class 3A and Class 2A teams at Western Christian. With the win, its 20th in a row, Western Christian improved to 24-1. Sutherlin moved to 21-2. Junior Runon Muroya scored 22 points.
West Linn boys swimming
The Lions swam to victory at the Three Rivers League district meet at the Chehalem Aquatic Center in Newberg. West Linn had 450 points, edging second place Lake Oswego, which had 378. Senior Matthew Sexton won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke events.
Willamina wrestling
The Bulldogs turned in a dominant performance in triumphing at the Class 2A/1A Special District 1 Tournament at Toledo High School. Willamina claimed first place at the 14-team tournament with 349.5 points. Toledo was second with 188.5. The Bulldogs had three individual district champions in Grayson Hubbard (106 pounds), Kisor Savage (120) and Bodhi Baller (175).
