Paige Bentley, Bayard Rustin softball

Collected four hits, including a double and a 3-run homer, in an 11-2 win over Marple Newtown in the District 1 Class 5A semifinals on Friday.

Luke Deschenes, Emmaus baseball

On the mound against Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Deschenes struck out 10 hitters in 5.2 innings of shutout baseball, while allowing just four hits. He also collected two hits, including a double, and an RBI in the 5-0 win.

Addyson Frye, Neshannock softball

With the WPIAL Class 2A semifinal game against Laurel scoreless in the eighth inning, the freshman delivered an RBI double to the fence in left field to give the Lancers a 1-0 win and a spot in the district final.

Maddy Gronback, North Penn softball

With the second round of the PIAA District 1 Class 6A playoff game against Avon Grove scoreless in the bottom of the seventh inning, Gronback lifted a pitch to deep right center that cleared the fence for a walk-off 3-run homer.

Callan Fang, Pennsbury baseball

In the District 1 Class 6A quarterfinals on Saturday, Fang struck out 14 hitters in 6.2 innings pitched in a 4-1 win over Souderton. He allowed just one run on five hits and didn’t walk anyone.

Kendal Leitner, Hatboro-Horsham softball

Leitner allowed just one hit while striking out 12 in Hatboro-Horsham’s 3-0 win over Neshaminy in Wednesday’s District 1 Class 3A second round playoff game.

Payton List, Beaver softball

In the WPIAL Class 4A semifinals, List did her thing in the circle and at the plate. She went the distance from the circle and struck out eight, allowing just one unearned run on four hits. Then at the dish, the Virginia Tech commit smacked two home runs in the 6-1 win over Montour.

Will McCausland, Souderton baseball

In the second round of the District 1 Class 6A playoffs, McCausland went 7.1 innings of shutout baseball and struck out 14 hitters as Souderton won 1-0 over Council Rock North in eight innings. He gave up just four hits and walked one.

Ainsley McClure, Pennsbury softball

In the District 1 Class 6A quarterfinals on Friday, McClure was perfect in an 8-0 win over Garnet Valley. She struck out 17 of the 21 hitters she faced to improve to 19-1 on the season.

Bryce Molinaro, Hazleton Area baseball

In the District 2-4 Class 6A semifinal game against Wilkes-Barre Area, the St. John’s University commit hit two of Hazelton Area’s six homers in a 16-0 win.

Ryan Reich, Selinsgrove baseball

In the first round of the Class 5A playoffs, Reich threw a shutout against Wyoming Valley West as Selinsgrove won 6-0. The Seton Hall commit went the distance and allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out 13.

Julia Shearer, North Penn softball

She struck out 16 hitters in a no-hitter against Avon Grove in the second round of the PIAA District 1 Class 6A playoffs on Wednesday. The gem from the University of Maryland commit helped North Penn win the game 3-0.

Jonah Snowberger, Central baseball

Against Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday, the senior tossed a five-inning no-hitter and struck out eight in a 10-0 win in the District 5/6 Class 3A playoffs.

Tyler Staub, Union baseball

In the WPIAL Class 1A semifinals against Rochester, Staub went 6+ innings and allowed two runs on four hits and struck out six in a 3-2 win. At one point, he retired 14 of 15 hitters he faced, with the only baserunner in that span a two-out walk in the fourth inning.

Jake Walker, West Mifflin baseball

In the WPIAL Class 4A quarterfinals on Monday, Walker drove in three of West Mifflin’s four runs in a 4-1 win over Blackhawk. The senior had three hits, including a double and a homer in the win.
