Bailey Barnyak, Carmichaels softball
In a 3-1 win over Frazier, she allowed just a pair of hits and struck out 13 hitters.
Ethan Black, Conemaugh Township Area boys track and field
Took home three gold medals at the PIAA state track and field championships. He anchored the 4x100 relay team and then took home individual titles in the 100 and 200. In the 200, he set a new PIAA record with a time of 21.07 seconds.
Colin Bolla, Fairview baseball
Tossed 6.1 perfect innings in a 2-0 win over Franklin with 16 strikeouts.
Lleyton Coupe, Phoenixville baseball
In a 15-7 win over Harriton, he went 3-for-3 with a home run and six RBIs.
Brian DiCola, Hatboro-Horsham boys track and field
Set a new PIAA record of 8:47.39 in taking home the gold medal in the 3,200 meters at the state championships.
Angelina Eakman, Mercer softball
Tossed a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts as the Mustangs defeated Union City 2-0.
Cohlton Fry, Harmony Area baseball
Hit a two-run walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Harmony its first ever playoff win with an 8-7 victory over Claysburg-Kimmel.
Mia Galella, Holy Cross softball
Went 3-for-3 with a double, a homer and five RBIs as the Crusaders beat Lakeland 11-8.
Nick Hamilton, McDowell baseball
In a 1-0 win over Erie, he went the distance on the mound and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 10.
Evan Holewinski, Bethel Park baseball
Struck out nine hitters in a complete game 6-0 win over Upper St. Clair and then hit a two-run home run at the plate.
Makena Moore, West Branch softball
Threw a one-hit shutout with 16 strikeouts and just one walk as the Warriros beat Ferndale 5-0.
Kaycee Raczka, Minersville softball
In a 15-0 win over Panther Valley, she was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and six RBIs.
Aaron Sandler, Lower Moreland boys tennis
Swept his way to the Class 2A state title, winning his first round and quarterfinal matches 6-0, 6-0, the semifinal 6-0, 6-2 and the state championship match 6-1, 6-1.
Henry Shaffer, Saegertown baseball
Was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a triple and a homer and drove in six runs in a 14-4 win over Cochranton.
Julia Shearer, North Penn softball
Tossed a five-inning one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a 13-0 win over Ridley. She also helped her own cause at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, a homer and four RBIs.
Karen Sickle, Old Forge softball
Tossed a four-hitter and allowed one run in a 4-1 win over Forest City while striking out 14.
Logan St. John Kletter, Mt. Lebanon girls track and field
After missing last year's WPIAL and PIAA championships due to a nerve condition in her foot, she bounced back in style this year by not only winning the state title in the 3,200 meters, but did so in state-record fashion with a time of 10:12.86.
Noah Turner, South Williamsport baseball
Threw a complete game three-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Muncy.
Mikkel Zinder, Council Rock South boys tennis
Captured the Class 3A state title by winning a third-set tiebreak 7-5 in the championship match.
Chris Zupito, Upper Darby baseball
Struck out 18 hitters in a two-hitter as the Royals beat Council Rock South 3-1.
