Bishop Gorman High School (Nevada) cornerback Jeremiah Hughes trimmed his list of nearly 20 scholarship offers to eight on Friday.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back included Arkansas, Alabama A&M, Colorado, Hawaii, LSU, Oregon State, Utah and Washington on his list:

Hughes is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN, and is part of one of the top high school defensive backfields in the country, as he is joined by Georgia cornerback pledge Justyn Rhett and uncommitted four-star safety Kodi Decambra in Las Vegas.

The talented corner is set to take an official visit to Washington this weekend has three other official visits in mind: LSU (June 3), Arkansas (June 17) and Utah (June 24). 

In other words, the next month could go a long way in determining Hughes' future.
