The Oregon Ducks football program remains in the quarterback market, searching for its signal-caller of the future.

Hoping to take a step forward in that endeavor, Oregon is set to host Pittsburg High School (California) five-star quarterback Jaden Rashada this weekend.

The news, first reported by 247Sports national recruiting editor Brandon Huffman, was confirmed by sources close to Rashada's recruitment.

A dynamic playmaker, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound signal-caller is rated the nation's No. 29 overall prospect and No. 5 quarterback.

As a junior, Rashada threw for 2,220 yards and 27 touchdowns with just five interceptions.

Oregon is one of several contenders for the California product, along with LSU, Miami (Fla.), Ole Miss, Texas A&M and others.

The Ducks have made the quarterback position a massive priority in the 2023 recruiting cycle after failing to sign a high school signal-caller in their 2022 recruiting class.

Oregon has been linked to Long Beach Poly's Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee pledge) and Martin Luther King's Dante Moore (uncommitted), but the "Rashada to Oregon" push has been loud and aggressive over the past several weeks

Turns out, Dan Lanning and his coaching staff will get their shot to impress the coveted California star this weekend.
