The writing has been on the wall for weeks, but it wasn't until Monday that it became official.

Bishop Gorman High School (Nevada) safety Kodi Decambra announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks over offers from Stanford, Washington and others:

The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back is rated a four-star prospect, the nation's No. 225 overall recruit, the No. 17 safety and the No. 3 player in the state of Nevada, according to 247Sports

Decambra is Oregon's first commitment from national powerhouse program Bishop Gorman since the class o 2019 (three-star defensive end Teven Ma'ae).

So, while he is a solid "get" for Dan Lanning and the coaching staff in his own right, Decambra carries the added bonus of possibly helping the Ducks build a pipeline to one of the most talented high school football programs in the country.

Oregon's 2023 recruiting class consists of six pledges and is rated No. 6 nationally, led by Basha (Arizona) four-star cornerback Cole Martin, Valley Christian (California) four-star wide receiver Jurrion Dickey, Marcus (Texas) four-star wide receiver Ashton Cozart and Decambra.
