The Florida Gators are on a hot streak on the recruiting trail.

Following the commitments of Under Armour All-American cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson and coveted four-star wide receiver Aidan Mizell, Florida secured another big-time addition Saturday.

West Orange High School (Florida) star and Under Armour All-American safety Jordan Castell committed to the Gators over fellow finalists Alabama and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back is rated the nation's No. 130 overall prospect and No. 10 safety.

As for why Castell chose Florida, he said the answer is easy.

"Florida is DB-U. Why not play with for the best?"

Florida's 2023 recruiting class is ranked No. 13 nationally and jumped one spot - leapfrogging USC - with the addition of Castell.

Prior to their three additions this week, the Gators were sitting at No. 23.
