Bluechip WR Jordan Anderson on Oregon's recruiting class ranking: 'We will be in that top 5 soon'

Oregon is set to host a massive recruiting weekend in late April

On Monday, On3 tweeted out a graphic of its updated 2024 football recruiting class rankings.

The Oregon Ducks came in at No. 10, a stellar start for the Pac-12 Conference program, ranking 13 spots ahead of the No. 2 team in the conference (Colorado, No. 23).

But that ranking caught the eye of Newport Harbor four-star wide receiver and Oregon commit Jordan Anderson, who predicted a rise for the Ducks.

"It's ok," he wrote. "We will be in that top 5 soon."

Oregon is slated to host a massive recruiting weekend for their spring game, which kicks off April 29, a date that coincides with a loaded Elite 11 regional event April 30 at Sheldon High School.

Furthermore, Dan Lanning's program may be nearing a pair of notable commitments.

The Ducks are the heavy favorites to add fast-rising Sunnyslope (Arizona) quarterback Luke Moga and Calabasas (California) four-star prospect Aaron Butler, the nation's No. 5 athlete

In truth, Anderson's prediction may be a little bit less dramatic than it sounds.

While the Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State Buckeyes are pretty consistently listed at Nos. 1 and 2 in the national rankings, recruiting sites are split on the rest of the top 15.

For Oregon to crack the top-5 on On3, it would have to leapfrog South Carolina.

But according to 247Sports, the Ducks are already one spot ahead of the Gamecocks at Nos. 10 and 11, respectively.

So, what's the general takeaway?

Oregon is about to make a run and start a hot streak, culminating with a massive recruiting weekend in late April that could lead to several commitments.

Things are starting to heat up in Eugene.
