John Bol, nation's No. 5 center, down to four schools

The four-star recruit is one of the top center prospects in the class of 2024

John Bol, one of the most highly coveted high school boys basketball recruits in the class of 2024, has narrowed his list to four schools.

The 7-foot-2, 190-pound center announced on social media that Ohio State, USC, Georgia Tech and UTSA all made the final cut.

Bol plans to take visits to each of his final four schools in August and September before making a decision in October. He also plans to sign during the early signing period in November.

The four-star prospect originally committed to Florida in June but chose to decommit from the Gators and re-open his recruitment in July.

Bol played for Sunrise Christian Academy (Kansas) this past season but recently announced he will be transferring to Overtime Elite (Georgia) for his senior season.

The South Sudan native is ranked as the nation’s No. 34 overall prospect in the class of 2024, the nation’s No. 5 center and Georgia’s No. 4 overall prospect in the senior class, according to On3

Bol also won a 2022 E17 Nike Peach Jam championship with MOKAN Elite. It was the third time in history that MOKAN Elite claimed a title at the most prestigious AAU event in the country.
