John Bol will be a Florida Gator.

The highly-coveted center from Sunrise Christian (Kansas) announced Saturday his commitment to Florida, choosing the Gators over Michigan, Missouri, Texas and others. The 7-foot-2 center is ranked No. 2 at his position and No. 28 overall in the country for the class of 2024.

With his commitment, Bol became the second player to join Florida's 2024 recruiting class. Four-star shooting guard Isaiah Brown from Orlando Christian gave his verbal pledge to the Gators last month.

On May 12, Bol revealed his top eight choices, which included Florida, Wake Forest, Missouri, Michigan, Texas, UConn, USC and Overtime Elite.

Bol was named the SBLive National Defensive Player of the Year this past season after averaging 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for one of the top teams in the toughest league in the country, the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference.

Bol originally played for Christian Brothers (Missouri) before transferring to the NIBC powerhouse prior to the 2022-23 season.
