Missouri Tigers hosting nation's No. 2 wide receiver, No. 1 offensive tackle this weekend

Missouri is hosting a pair of uncommitted five-star recruits this weekend

The No. 21 Missouri Tigers are hosting a top-25 showdown this weekend against the No. 23 LSU Tigers.

And they are using that stage for an impressive recruiting weekend.

Undoubtedly the headliners of that list are a pair of five-star recruits.

St. Louis University (Missouri) playmaker Ryan Wingo, the nation's No. 7 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver, is making the short trip to campus.

Wingo is the top uncommitted offensive recruit in the country in the class of 2024 and is strongly considering Missouri, Texas and others.

He will be joined by class of 2026 Nixa (Missouri) five-star lineman Jackson Cantwell, the nation's No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle.

For the 6-foot-8, 305-pound lineman, the top-25 clash provides an exciting backdrop to continue to build a connection to the in-state program.

"The main thing that stands out to me is their proximity to home, as well as my connection to the program with my dad being a track and field athlete there in the early 2000s," Cantwell said.

Missouri has experienced heightened recruiting success in recent years, landing East St. Louis (Illinois) five-star wide receiver Luther Burden (2022) and Lee's Summit North (Missouri) five-star defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri in the current cycle.

Could the Tigers add to their in-state five-star haul soon?

This weekend will give Missouri an opportunity to impress a pair of them.
