Tay Lockett, Arkansas Razorbacks commit, registers diving pass break-up against Mater Dei

And for St. John Bosco (California) sophomore defensive back Tay Lockett there may be no bigger moment than playing No. 1 Mater Dei on Friday night.

In a tight contest, Lockett delivered a massive pass break-up, diving to swat the pass away.

Given that the quarterback on the play was none other than Stanford commit and bluechip passer Elijah Brown, the play is even more impressive.

Lockett committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks in August.

“I would just say since the minute I stepped on campus for the first time, they just took me and my family in so well,” he told 247Sports. “It just gave me such a home vibe. I just kept building such a great relationship with Coach T-Will (Travis Williams) and Coach (Marcus) Woodson. I really do trust them, so I just felt like now is the right time."

Lockett, who could develop into a top-100 prospect, is a four-star recruit on Rivals.
