Blake Barnett, Kansas State commit, breaks Christian McCaffrey's career touchdown record: Watch

Erie (Colorado) Blake Barnett scored 142 career touchdowns to break Christian McCaffrey's state record for career touchdowns

San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey was an electric playmaker at every level.

During his high school career at Valor Christian, the All-Pro running back scored 141 touchdowns, a Colorado state record for 11-man football.

But records are made to be broken.

On Friday, Erie (Colorado) star and Kansas State quarterback pledge Blake Barnett broke McCaffrey's record with his 142nd touchdown, scoring on defense and rusher before breaking the record with a scoring strike through the air.

Watch:

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete committed to Kansas State in January, choosing the Wildcats over offers from Colorado, Oregon State, Washington and others.

Barnett is rated a three-star prospect and listed as the nation's No. 36 quarterback by On3

Kansas State seems to have a gem, especially if he continues to eclipse the production of McCaffrey.
