Prediction: Texas Longhorns set to add 4th 5-star commitment

The Texas Longhorns are well-positioned to secure a top-10 recruiting class nationally in the class of 2024 after landing St. Louis University (Missouri) five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo.

But the hot streak may not be over.

Prediction: Kobe Black to Texas Longhorns

Texas already has a trio of five-star commitments in Wingo, Duncanville (Texas) edge-rusher Colin Simmons and Mater Dei (California) offensive tackle Brandon Baker.

And a fourth could soon be on the way.

For some time, Connally (Texas) five-star defensive back Kobe Black has been rumored to be favoring Texas over Texas A&M, so this prediction is far from a surprise.

But it may have taken a major step forward earlier this month when the 6-foot, 190-pound athlete reportedly skipped his Texas A&M official visit in favor of a return trip to Austin to check out the Longhorns.

The move seemed to signal a major tell in Black's recruitment, as the "visit pivot" fell in line with what everyone already believed.

Black favors Texas significantly over fellow finalists LSU, Ohio State, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Expect the Longhorns to add a fourth five-star pledge soon.

The recruiting industry agrees.

On3 gives Texas a 94.6 percent chance of securing Black's commitment, while all four of 247Sports' predictions favor the Longhorns.

Black is rated the nation's No. 35 overall prospect and No. 3 safety in the 247Sports composite rankings, while On3 lists him as the nation's No. 38 overall prospect and No. 3 cornerback.
