Florida commit DJ Lagway trolls Georgia football fans after big win

Willis (Texas) five-star quarterback DJ Lagway accounts for 6 touchdowns against an Oak Ridge defense featuring Georgia commits

When Willis (Texas) clashed with Oak Ridge (Texas) on Friday night, it was a battle of elite teams ... and prospects.

Willis five-star quarterback and Florida Gators commit DJ Lagway would have to prove his mettle against an Oak Ridge defense featuring Georgia-bound five-star linebacker Justin Williams and elite four-star defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye.

Despite three first-half sacks from Williams, it was Lagway who got the last laugh, accounting for six touchdowns in Willis' 49-35 victory over Oak Ridge.

The win clinched the regular season District 14-6A, Region II championship for the Wildkats.

After the game, Lagway had a little fun with the win, posting a tweet trolling Georgia fans - and celebrating his own Gators:

Lagway has had a stellar senior campaign and made a strong case to be considered the top quarterback in the class of 2024.

So far, he's thrown for 3,248 yards and 45 touchdowns with just five interceptions, as well as 609 yards and 9 scores on the ground while averaging almost exactly 10 yards per carry.

As it stands, Lagway is rated the nation's No. 16 overall prospect and No. 2 signal-caller in the class of 2024.
