Alvin Henderson recaps Alabama, Miami visits; Elite running back has high praise for trips

Elba (Alabama) elite running back Alvin Henderson recently visited Miami and Alabama

Elite Elba (Alabama) running back Alvin Henderson is one of the top playmakers in the class of 2025.

The 5-foot-10, 198-pound ball-carrier is rated the nation's No. 3 running back and holds offers from more than 40 college football programs.

Henderson, who has formally announced a top 10, recently took visits to check out the Miami Hurricanes and Alabama Crimson Tide and broke down each of his visits, starting with a trip to see the 'Canes on October 28 for their overtime win over Virginia.

"My visit in Miami was great," he said. "I was down for a couple of days. Ever since i arrived there at 9 that morning the coaches have made me feel as if I am at home, back in Alabama."

The Elba star indicated there were multiple highlights of the visit.

"Everything about Miami is special, is something different and it’s close to home," Henderson said. "In all honesty, the coaches' main message to me is that I'm their guy and they are willing to do whatever they can to get me and make me a Hurricane."

Over the weekend, Henderson made a return trip to Tuscaloosa to check out Alabama for its win over LSU.

"This weekend at Bama was a great, well-rounded visit," he said. "I feel like the players went out and handled business early and came out successful..."

As for a highlight, Henderson got a chance to talk to coach Nick Saban, who delivered a very clear message.

"I was able to sit down with Coach Saban before the game,' Henderson said. "His message to me was, 'You know how we feel about you around here, just do you and keep balling,' Coach G and the rest of the staff is all telling me the same thing - ' Come home Alvin! Bama is home.' With that being said, after seeing them compete hard and come out on top and me being able to sit down and communicate with the coaches it most definitely means a lot."
