Dillon Gabriel visiting Oregon; Ducks considered the favorite: Report

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Oregon has emerged as the team-to-beat for Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Dillon Gabriel

A favorite has already emerged for Oklahoma Sooners transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, the Oregon Ducks are the team-to-beat for the dynamic signal-caller and will be hosting him on a visit "soon":

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound signal-caller is one of the hottest names on the market after throwing for 3,660 yards, 30 touchdowns and just six interceptions with 373 yards and 12 scores rushing this fall.

For Oregon, the need is obvious.

The Ducks will have to replace Heisman Trophy finalist Bo Nix next year and have seen uneven results from former bluechip quarterback Ty Thompson, the most experienced passer currently slated to return to Eugene.

Coming out of Mililani (Hawaii), Gabriel was originally a three-star recruit in the class of 2019, rated the nation's No, 20 pro-style quarterback.

He committed to Central Florida and transferred for a two-year stint at Oklahoma.

Gabriel is, once again, on the move.

And it looks like the Ducks are the leading the charge to secure his commitment.
