We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Week from Jan. 29-Feb. 3 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Bryce Peterson, Andrew Jackson

The 6-foot junior guard had a huge game with a career-high 34 points as well as 10 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in a 96-42 rout of Buford. He then turned in a double-double of 14 points and 12 assists in a 72-54 win over North Central. Peterson is averaging 13.2 points.

Brayden Hendrix, Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach

The sharpshooting guard scored 21 points as the Saints upset South Carolina High School League 5-A power St. James 50-47.

Will Fowler, James F. Byrnes

Fowler scored 22 points in a 56-53 win over Dorman. The senior star had recently surpassed 1,000 points for his career.

JayAun Perkins, West Florence

Perkins hit a game-winning jumper at the buzzer as the Knights beat Hartsville 46-44. The 6-foot-2 sophomore finished with 10 points.

Bradyn Durrah, Greer

Durrah had 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocked shots in the Yellow Jackets’ 66-48 win over Wade Hampton. That was well above the 6-foot-7 senior forward/center’s 7.9 points scoring average.

Benett Edwards, Landrum

Edwards poured in 36 points and went over 1,000 for his career as the Cardinals overwhelmed Greenville Tech 91-48. The 6-foot-2 junior averages 13.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.

Zyan Hager, Catawba Ridge

The 6-foot-1 senior guard led the way with 17 points in the Copperheads’ 66-56 win over Lancaster. Earlier in the week, Hager had 21 points in a 75-45 rout of York.

Tristan Thompson, Wilson

Thompson scored 28 points in Wilson’s 85-67 win over Myrtle Beach. He’s averaging 17.9 points for the Tigers.

Jackson Burnham, Nation Ford

Burnham scored 20 points and got 6 rebounds in a 66-57 win over Blythewood. The 6-foot-3 senior averages 19 points per game.

Sincere Rasul, Indian Land

Rasul scored 21 points in the Warriors’ 57-53 win over South Pointe.
