We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina High School Athlete of the Week from Feb. 4-9 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:
Payton Rumley, Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach, Girls Basketball
Rumley posted a tremendous triple double of 18 points, 19 rebounds and 12 steals as the Saints rolled past Williamsburg Academy 46-14 to clinch their region championship.
Josiah Peeples, Cardinal Newman, Boys Basketball
Peeples scored 19 points in the Cardinals’ 54-40 win over Trinity Collegiate. The 6-foot-3 senior also went over 1,000 points for his career.
Jared Cruz, West-Oak, Boys Wrestling
Cruz won by pin at 205 pounds, helping West-Oak win its third consecutive 3-A state championship, 52-24 over Gilbert.
Jaleya Ford, Lake View, Girls Basketball
Ford scored 31 points in the Wild Gators’ 79-36 rout of Hannah-Pamplico. The 5-foot-6 senior averages 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.1 steals.
Ceddrianna Springs, Saluda, Girls Basketball
Springs is just an eighth grader and she’s already a star. In a 39-34 come-from-behind win over Ninety Six, Springs scored 27 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter.
Isaac Smalls, Cane Bay, Boys Basketball
Smalls led the way with 30 points as Cane Bay rallied for a 59-56 win over Berkeley. That was well above the 6-foot-2 senior’s average of 11.3 points.
Tre’von Walker, Aiken, Boys Basketball
Walker led his team with 20 points and got a key offensive rebound in the closing seconds as the Fighting Green Hornets held off rival South Aiken 64-60. The 6-foot-4 junior is Aiken’s leading rebounder.
Eddie Jefferson, Eastside, Boys Wrestling
Jefferson won by pin at 157 pounds as South Carolina’s wrestling dynasty won its ninth consecutive dual team state championship. Eastside has a state-record 19 state championships.
Thad Gerstenacker, Chesnee, Boys Wrestling
Gerstenacker, a sophomore who is ranked No. 1 in the state at 138 pounds, won by pin to help Chesnee defeat Buford 39-19 for the 2-A state championship, the program’s first.
Aiden Eubanks, Fort Mill, Boys Wrestling
Eubanks won by a 7-0 decision, clinching the Yellow Jackets’ second straight 5-A state championship.
