Westlake vs. Bowie football live stream: How to watch, get live score updates online

Watch and follow on SBLive as two Texas Class 6A powers face off in one of the biggest matchups of the week

There are a lot of exciting games on the slate for this week, but one of the best matchups is taking place on Thursday (October 27) as Westlake hosts visiting Bowie in Austin, Texas.

Nationally-ranked Westlake has won 48 games in a row dating back to 2019, but this week the Chaparrals will take on a strong Bowie team that has only one loss on the season and has destroyed its last three opponents.

Only a few weeks remain in the 2022 Texas high school football season, and this game could have a major impact on postseason seeding as well as the national rankings

This is a high-stakes game between two Texas Class 6A powers. You don't want to miss it and you don't have to.

No. 11 Westlake (8-0) has won three consecutive Class 6A state championships and has looked like a team on a mission for its fourth this entire season.

The Chaparrals haven't been in a close game all season, with their smallest margin of victory being 15 points, and they've outscored their opponents 420-88 behind an average score of 52.5-11.

The offense is led by senior receivers Jaden Greathouse, a Notre Dame commit, and Keaton Kubecka, a Kansas commit, and the defense leans on interior lineman and Texas commit TJ Shanahan as well as edge rusher and Oklahoma commit Colton Vasek.

Westlake might not have a weakness this year, but they will be without Shanahan this week after he suffered a knee injury two weeks ago in the Chaparrals' 29-10 win over Dripping Springs.

Bowie (7-1) only has one loss on the season, and it came against the same Dripping Springs team that stayed within 20 points of Westlake, which also happens to be Dripping Springs' only loss of the season.

The Bulldogs were blown out 55-7 when they lost to Dripping Springs, but have only had one other game this season that came close to a loss.

Outside of their lone loss and a 27-24 victory over Anderson the week before that, they've won each of their games by at least 20 points.

The Bulldogs are also rolling coming into this one. They are 3-0 since the loss, and have outscored their past three opponents 170-21, winning all of those games by at least a five-touchdown margin.

If Bowie can find a way to keep its momentum rolling this week with a win over Westlake, the Bulldogs will not only cement themselves as one of the best teams in Texas, but also send shockwaves through the national rankings.
