Richland's Joey Pearson voted top pitcher in Washington high school baseball in 2021-22 by fans

Pearson posted a 6-1 record with two no-hitters, helping the Bombers finish third place in Class 3A

Richland pitcher Joey Pearson was voted the top pitcher in the 2021-22 Washington high school baseball season by fans and readers

Pearson, a senior signed with Lower Columbia College, was the most consistent arm among a strong pitching stable this season for the Bombers (23-6). 

He posted a 6-1 record in 40 innings pitched with a 1.5 ERA with 35 strikeouts and nine walks and two no-hitters on the season as the top pitcher in a rotation that included Cameron Kallsen and Spencer Green (Oregon State). 

And he delivered when Richland needed him most, throwing a no-hitter against Moses Lake to secure a spot in the regional round to send the Bombers to the 4A state semifinals. 

Olympia pitcher Rylan Haider finished second with 8,234 votes, Moses Lake's Carson Janke finished third (5,845 votes), West Seattle junior pitcher Miles Gosztola went fourth (3,459 votes) and Chiawana's Connor Mendez finished fifth (3,155 votes).
