Toppenish's Joshua Perez, Shadle Park's Kyleigh Archer voted top senior multi-sport athletes in Washington for 2022-23

Perez was captain of Wildcats' football and basketball teams while Archer starred in soccer, basketball and track and field for Highlanders

SBLive WA spent a good part of June releasing its choices for its senior multi-sport athletes of 2022-23 in each WIAA classification.

Now readers have spoken on who the top athletes were from that group.

Toppenish's Joshua Perez (1A) and Shadle Park's Kyleigh Archer (2A) were the winners of the week-long fan vote.

Perez, a quarterback on the football team and point guard on the basketball squad, garnered 61.7 percent of the vote, outpacing Yelm's Trevontay Smith (football, basketball, track and field), who had 33.7 percent.

Archer, a midfielder in soccer, point guard in basketball and state podium-finishing jumper in track and field, collected 49.0 percent of the vote. La Conner's Ellie Marble (volleyball, basketball) was the runner-up at 23.6 percent.
