Congratulations to Oakman softball pitcher Missy Odom for being voted SBLive’s Alabama High School Athlete of the Week for Mar. 28-Apr. 3!

The 8th-grader went 4 for 4 with a home run and had 15 strikeouts this week. She has 117 strikeouts in 66 innings this season while only giving up 14 hits.

Odom received 49.26% of the vote, beating out Curry's Linley Tubbs who finished second with 48.31%. There were over 86,000 votes tallied this week!

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Mar. 28-Apr. 3:

Mason Quinnie, Hazel Green softball: The sophomore went 8-for-18 at the plate with four doubles, a home run, nine RBIs, and scored three runs at the Bob Jones Tournament. In the circle, Quinnie struck out a total of 14 batters and posted a .375 ERA to help lead Hazel Green to a 5-1 record in the tournament.

Linley Tubbs, Curry softball: Tubbs went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs in an 8-10 loss against Brookwood.

Kenleigh Cahalan, Hewitt-Trussville softball: The Alabama commit went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs and scored three runs in a 12-2 win over Lincoln.

Maggie Daniel, Spain Park softball: Daniel went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, a home run, and had four RBIs in a 9-8 eight-inning win over Smiths Station.

Sophie Sisk, Leeds softball: Sisk went 3-for-5 at the plate with a double and five RBIs in a dominant 24-11 win over Oxford.

Kenny Glover, Clay-Chalkville baseball: Glover went 4-for-6 at the plate with three doubles and two RBIs in a blowout 20-4 win over Parker.

Caiden Combs, Gardendale baseball: The freshman had a home run and three RBIs in an 11-1 win over Harpeth.

Will Lawrence, Hoover baseball: Lawrence went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs, and scored three runs in an 11-0 win over Brooks.

Nick McCord, Oak Mountain baseball: McCord went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs in an 8-0 win over Gadsden City.

Hudson Walburn, Vestavia Hills baseball: The junior had a home run and two RBIs in a 9-3 win over Houston.
