The CIF San Diego Section released their 2020 high school boys basketball playoff brackets on Saturday. In Division 3, San Ysidro and Coronado are the two top seeds.

The 16-team Division 3 bracket gets started with first round games on Tuesday night. The two teams that reach the final will advance to the CIF State Tournament.

Scorebook Live California reporter Bodie DeSilva breaks down the top storylines from the Division 3 boys basketball playoffs.

WHO CAN STOP THE COUGAR TRIO?

San Ysidro is led by freshman sensation Mikey Williams, who's averaging 31 points per game, but Jurian Dixon and Cal State Northridge-signee Kailen Rains are both averaging over 20 points per game, making the Cougars the overwhelming favorite in Division 3.

HOW FAR CAN WAYNE MCKINNEY CARRY CORONADO?

Wayne McKinney has done everything for the Islanders this season, averaging 29 points and eight rebounds per game. Earlier this month broke the school record for points in a game with 44 and then broke his own record in the next game scoring 46. If McKinney has an off night or the opponent is able to slow him down, who steps up for Coronado?

CAN EASTLAKE SPOIL 1 VS. 2?

Outside of San Ysidro and Coronado, three-seed Eastlake appears to me as the only other team capable of reaching the finals. A potential semi-final game between Eastlake and Coronado could be the best game of the bracket. Junior forward Alex Crawford led the Titans to a huge upset of Mater Dei Catholic a few weeks back when he had 26 points and ten rebounds.

THE NOT SO BOLD PICK?

San Ysidro loaded up with a very difficult non-league and tournament schedule this season and certainly took their lumps along the way, but they've gelled since the new year and I expect them to take division three with relative ease.
