Carlsbad rolls past San Diego 72-55 in San Diego Section Division 1 boys basketball semifinals (video, photos)
The win pushes the Lancers into San Diego Section Division 1 Championship game, their third CIF Championship appearance in the last four seasons
CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Carlsbad started fast and never looked back in Tuesday's San Diego Section Division 1 semifinal game against San Diego High School. The Lancers led 25-14 after one quarter and continued to increase the lead after the second and third quarters on their way to a 72-55 victory.
Carlsbad guards Jake Hall and Toby Harris led the Lancers with 19 points each while sophomore guard Tony Duckett added 14 points off the bench. The win pushes the Lancers into San Diego Section Division 1 Championship game, their third CIF Championship appearance in the last four seasons, while San Diego will await Sunday's CIF State bracket release for their seeding position.
