De La Salle's Javon Johnson voted best small forward in California boys high school basketball
The senior has led the Spartans to the North Coast Section Open Division championship game.
Last week we released our top small forwards in California boys high school basketball list and asked readers the following question: who is the SF in the state?
After a week of voting, fans selected De La Salle senior Javon Johnson with over 8,800 votes.
Johnson is a consistent double digit scorer for the Spartans. He led De La Salle to a 61-50 win over San Ramon Valley on Feb. 10 scoring 13 points. On Wednesday night, he scored the game-winning layup to clinch a 40-38 Open Division semifinal win over Miramonte. The Spartans will play for the North Coast Section Open championship game on Friday night against Campolindo.
