Star Corona Centennial guard Jared McCain discusses Open Division championship win over Harvard-Westlake
McCain scored 20 points to lead the Huskies to a 68-48 Southern Section championship win.
CORONA, Calif. -- Jared McCain scored a game high 20 points to lead his Corona Centennial team to a 68-48 Southern Section Open Division championship win over Harvard-Westlake on Friday night.
McCain connected on a 3 at the end of the third quarter to put the Huskies ahead 46-35 and then again with 3:23 to play in the fourth to give his team a 58-43 advantage.
“Jared hit an unbelievably huge three there to kind of break the game open,” Corona Centennial head coach Josh Giles said postgame. “That was awesome.”
