SBLIVE SOUTHERN SECTION TOP 25 BASEBALL RANKINGS

1. Orange Lutheran (5-0)

Last week: 1

The Lancers are stockpiled with Division 1 commits. Senior pitcher Louis Rodriguez is is arguably the top arm in the state. He's a TCU pledge.

2. Yucaipa (4-1)

Last week: 2

Yucaipa walked off to beat Harvard-Westlake 6-5 two weeks ago. Junior pitcher Owen Egan is committed to UCLA. Senior Washington commit Jacob Reimer, an infielder, is a 2022 MLB Draft prospect.

3. Harvard-Westlake (4-1)

Last week: 3

The Wolverines took down No. 4 JSerra 2-1 last week. 

4. JSerra (4-2-1)

Last week: 4

JSerra beat No. 10 Foothill 3-2 on Feb. 17. 

5. Sierra Canyon (6-0)

Last week: 5

The Trailblazers have two MLB Draft prospects in senior pitchers Jaden Noot and Kassius Thomas.

6. Corona (3-1)

Last week: 8

Corona's lone loss came against No. 4 JSerra this season. 

7. Servite (5-0)

Last week: 10

Servite's starting pitching trio of senior Chris Grothues (UCLA commit), senior Mikiah Negrete (San Diego commit) and senior Xavier Cardenas (San Diego State commit) gives the Friars a chance to beat anyone on any given day and so far the Friars haven't lost. 

8. Santa Margarita (3-0)

Last week: 9

The Eagles have taken down Gahr, Chaparral and Corona del Sol (Arizona) so far this season. 

9. Huntington Beach (3-2-1)

Last week: 7

Junior Ralphy Velazquez is one of the state's top hitters. The Oilers also have two UCLA commits in senior pitcher Ben Jacobs and junior outfielder Aidan Espinoza. Huntington Beach has lost to Orange Lutheran, Alemany and  this season.

10. Foothill (3-3)

Last week: 13

Foothill has lost to No. 3 Harvard-Westlake 5-4 and to No. 4 JSerra 3-2 this season. The Knights aren't afraid of anyone. 

11. Newbury Park (4-1)

Last week: 18

Newbury Park's lone loss on the season came against No. 5 Sierra Canyon

12. Hart (4-2)

Last week: 19

Hart beat No. 13 Notre Dame 6-0 last week. 

13. Notre Dame (3-2)

Last week: 6

Notre Dame has lost to No. 5 Sierra Canyon and No. 12 Hart this season. 

14. Arcadia (5-0)

Last week: 20

Arcadia has beaten No. 15 South Hills and No. 16 San Dimas so far this year. 

15. South Hills (4-1)

Last week: 22

This year's South Hills squad is the best team the school's had in five years. Led by senior Matt Lorrenzano, the Huskies pitching staff is loaded. Lorrenzano is committed to Long Beach State. 

16. San Dimas (3-1)

Last week: 15

San Dimas is up in Division 1 for the first time in the school's history, but the Saints have earned it -- they're that talented. Sophomore infielder Landon White is a player to watch. The Saints play No. 20 Bonita on Monday. 

17. Villa Park (4-1)

Last week: 16

The Spartans have one of the top juniors in the country in shortstop Gavin Grahovac, a Texas A&M commit.

18. Tesoro (4-0)

Last week: NR

Tesoro debuts this week following their 4-0 start. The Titans' best win so far this season came against No. 21 St. John Bosco last week. 

19. King (2-1)

Last week: 14

The Wolves have a very strong junior class. Last season, King went 24-6. This week, the Wolves play No. 23 Norco on Saturday. 

20. Bonita (4-1)

Last week: 21

Bonita has beaten good Maranatha and Etiwanda teams this season. 

21. St. John Bosco (4-1)

Last week: 23

The Braves are much improved from last season. Their lone loss on the year came against No. 18 Tesoro. 

22. Pacifica (5-1)

Last week: NR

Pacifica debuts this week. They've beaten Trabuco Hills and El Dorado this season. 

23. Norco (5-0)

Last week: NR

Junior Ryan Jenkins has thrown consecutive no-hitters for the undefeated Cougars. 

24. West Torrance (4-0)

Last week: NR

West's 8-7 win over Redondo Union puts the Warriors in this week's Top 25. 

25. Arlington (5-1)

Last week: NR

Arlington has beaten No. 19 King this season.
