Watch: Tyler Rolison's 19 points leads St. Bernard to 52-40 win over Long Beach Poly in state playoffs

No. 4 St. Bernard will host No. 12 Village Christian in the second round on Thursday.

PLAYA DEL REY -- St. Bernard junior guard Tyler Rolison scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half pushing the four-seeded Vikings to a 52-40 win over No. 13 Long Beach Poly in the first round of the Division 1 CIF state boys basketball playoffs on Tuesday night. Sophomore forward Kendyl Sanders scored 13 points in the win and senior guard Darius Carr scored eight, including a game-clinching lay up with 1:10 to play which put St. Bernard ahead 48-40.

Long Beach Poly senior guard Christian Watson led all scorers with 20 points in defeat. No. 4 St. Bernard will host No. 12 Village Christian in the second round on Thursday.
