1. Corona Centennial (Corona, Calif.) (33-1)
Last week: 2
Corona Centennial won both the Open Division state and Southern Section championships this season. The Huskies went undefeated against California opposition.
2. Modesto Christian (Modesto, Calif.) (30-6)
Last week: 6
Modesto Christian won the Division 1 Sac-Joaquin Section championship and was the lone team in the Section or state playoffs to play Corona Centennial close. The Crusaders fell to the Huskies in the Open Division state championship 59-50.
3. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) (26-6)
Last week: 1
Sierra Canyon had a lot of talent on its roster, but the Trailblazers only won their league this season.
4. Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.) (25-4)
Last week: 4
Harvard-Westlake played for the school's first ever Southern Section Open Division championship this season losing 68-48 to No. 1 Corona Centennial. In the state playoffs, the Wolverines lost to No. 3 Sierra Canyon 72-55.
5. Campolindo (Moraga, Calif.) (28-2)
Last week: 3
Campolindo won the North Coast Section Open Division championship 51-50 over No. 15 De La Salle. The Cougars lost in the Open Division regional championship 56-53 to No. 2 Modesto Christian.
6. Clovis West (Fresno, Calif.) (31-2)
Last week: 9
Clovis West won the Central Section Open Division championship in overtime 72-63 over No. 7 St. Joseph. The Golden Eagles fell to No. 2 Modesto Christian in the state playoffs.
7. St. Joseph (Santa Maria, Calif.) (27-4)
Last week: 24
St. Joseph lost two heartbreakers to end their season against No. 6 Clovis West in the Central Section Open Division championship and No. 4 Harvard-Westlake in the state playoffs.
8. Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.) (21-4)
Last week: 12
Bishop Montgomery went 2-1 in Southern Section Open Division playoff pool play. Their season ended in the state playoffs against No. 1 Corona Centennial, the team they also lost to in the Section playoffs.
9. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) (26-5)
Last week: 7
Mater Dei won the Trinity League but then went 1-3 in the postseason. The Monarchs beat No. 12 Notre Dame in the Southern Section Open Division playoffs, but lost to No. 3 Sierra Canyon, No. 4 Harvard Westlake and then No. 8 Bishop Montgomery in the state playoffs.
10. Damien (La Verne, Calif.) (32-4)
Last week: 8
Damien won the school's second ever state championship this season beating Clovis North 65-57 to claim the Division 1 crown. The Spartans went 1-2 in the Southern Section Open Division playoffs.
11. Crean Lutheran (Irvine, Calif.) (25-7)
Last week: 5
Crean Lutheran fell to No. 10 Damien in the Southern Section Open Division and Division 1 state playoffs. The Saints' best wins on the year came against No. 12 Notre Dame and No. 24 Sheldon.
12. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) (21-8)
Last week: 10
Notre Dame won a share of the Mission League championship this season thanks to a regular season win over No. 4 Harvard-Westlake.
13. St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, Calif.) (24-8)
Last week: 18
St. Bernard won the Division 1 Southern Section championship 71-59 over No. 20 JSerra.
14. Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, Calif.) (21-9)
Last week: NR
Archbishop Riordan won the Central Coast Section Open Division championship 68-51 over No. 21 Archbishop Mitty. In the state playoffs, the Crusaders took down No. 15 De La Salle before losing to No. 5 Campolindo.
15. De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) (22-6)
Last week: 19
De La Salle lost a heartbreaker in the North Coast Section Open Division championship 51-50 to No. 5 Campolindo.
16. St. Augustine (San Diego, Calif.) (23-8)
Last week: NR
St. Augustine won the San Diego Section Open Division championship 81-76 over San Ysidro.
17. Clovis North (Fresno, Calif.) (22-12)
Last week: NR
Clovis North, the No. 13 seed, went on a magical run to the Division 1 state championship game where they lost 65-57 to No. 10 Damien.
18. St. Anthony (Long Beach, Calif.) (18-10)
Last week: 23
St. Anthony made deep runs in both the Division 1 Southern Section and state playoffs this season.
19. Village Christian (Sun Valley, Calif.) (28-5)
Last week: NR
Village Christian won the Division 2AA Southern Section championship 78-69 over Long Beach Poly.
20. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) (20-11)
Last week: NR
JSerra got hot and advanced all the way to the Division 1 Southern Section championship game losing 71-59 to No. 13 St. Bernard.
21. Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) (23-6)
Last week: 20
Mitty won the West Catholic League outright, but then lost to league foe Archbishop Riordan 68-51 in the Central Coast Section Open Division championship.
22. Riverside Poly (Riverside, Calif.) (26-3)
Last week: 11
Riverside Poly had a fantastic season but faced an unfortunate playoff draw meeting No. 13 St. Bernard in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 Southern Section playoffs. The Bears lost that game 57-50.
23. Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, Calif.) (25-5)
Last week: NR
In Central Coast Section Open Division pool play, Sacred Heart Prep fell to No. 14 Archbishop Riordan 60-58 in overtime. The Gators won two rounds in the Open Division state playoffs before falling to No. 17 Clovis North 64-58 in the Division 1 regional semifinals.
24. Sheldon (Sacramento, Calif.) (22-11)
Last week: NR
Sheldon had an up and down season but rallied to make the Division 1 Sac-Joaquin Section championship game. They lost to No. 2 Modesto Christian 52-42 in the title game. In the Open Division state playoffs, Sheldon lost to No. 6 Clovis West 63-55.
25. San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno, Calif.) (23-8)
Last week: NR
San Joaquin Memorial beat No. 17 Clovis North in the Central Section Open Division consolation game, but a disappointing showing in the Division 1 state playoffs puts the Panthers at No. 25. San Joaquin Memorial beat No. 20 JSerra in the regular season 59-56. In the Central Section Open Division playoffs, the Panthers fell to No. 6 Clovis West 83-69.
