Meet SBLive's 2022 All-Central Section Boys Basketball teams: San Joaquin Memorial's Jojo Hunter is Player of the Year

With the 2022 California high school basketball season in the books, it's time to hand out some awards.

Here is SBLive's Boys Basketball All-Central Section team. The Section wide team was compiled by SBLive reporter Bodie DeSilva and includes a Player of the Year.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

G: Jojo Hunter - San Joaquin Memorial - Senior

JoJo-hunter

Hunter was one of the state's most explosive scorers this past season, routinely surpassing the 30 point mark. Hunter went for 54 points in February's win over Madera South, breaking a school record that stood for over 50 years.

ALL-SECTION FIRST TEAM

G: Connor Amundsen - Clovis North - Sophomore

Amundsen led the Broncos with 17 points per game this season and stepped up in the state playoffs, scoring 21 or more in four of the five games. He finished with 25 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the state championship game against Damien.

G: Isaac Martinez - Clovis West - Junior

Martinez was named co-MVP of the Tri-River Athletic Conference and had 20 points to help lead the Golden Eagles on a 20-point second half comeback to take down St. Joseph in the Central Section Open Division Championship game.

G: Dre Roman - St. Joseph Santa Maria - Senior

Roman averaged 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game for the Knights. He picked up his first division 1 offer, from Stony Brook in February.

F: Tounde Yessoufou - St. Joseph Santa Maria - Freshman

Yessoufou put California on notice, scoring 42 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five steals in his second career game back in December. He didn't slow down throughout the season, averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds per game for the Central Coast - Mountain League champions.

F: Tyus Parrish-Tillman - Clovis West - Senior

Parrish-Tillman shared co-MVP honors of the TRAC with teammate Isaac Martinez and was a beast throughout Clovis West's 31-2 season. He averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks per game.

ALL-SECTION SECOND TEAM

G: Luis Marin - St. Joseph Santa Maria - Junior

Marin stuffed the stat sheet throughout the season and led the Knights in assists and three-point shooting. He posted a 23-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist triple-double against Righetti in January.

G: Jackson Tucker - Bakersfield Christian - Senior

Tucker led the top-seeded Eagles to the Central Section Division 1 Championship and into the second round of the CIF State Division II playoffs. He had several huge outings during the season including a 31-point, seven-rebound, seven-assist performance against Golden Valley.

G: Julius Olanrewaju - Coalinga - Freshman

Olanrewaju burst onto the scene with 32 points and 14 rebounds in his high school debut in November and didn't slow down. He finished the year averaging a Central Section-leading 31 points per game to go along with 13 rebounds per game. He surpassed the 40-point mark five times during the season.

G: LaDanian Streets - Central - Junior

Streets led the Central Section Division 1 runners-up in scoring and was a first team All-TRAC selection.

F: Mike Davis Jr. - San Joaquin Memorial - Junior

Davis was a double-double machine throughout the season and posted a season high 36 points in the league-clinching win over Edison.
