Class of 2023 St. John Bosco High School safety Ty Lee has already generated plenty of recruiting buzz.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound defensive back holds scholarship offers for Arizona State, California, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oregon State, USC, Utah and several others.

Following a visit to UCLA, Lee picked up his latest offer from the Bruins:

“The visit was great,” he said. “What stood out most was the coaching staff and the campus. At the end of my visit I went to the defensive coaches room and I met every defensive coach and Coach Norton told me they were offering me a scholarship.”

For the dynamic defensive back, the offer is particularly significant.

“This offer means everything to me because it’s a team that I’ve always watched growing up,” Lee said. “The way I received my offer was amazing.”

There’s a degree of pressure playing at St. John Bosco, a football prospect factory that churns out talent every class. But rather than feeling like the offers mean he’s living up to the school’s lofty expectations, Lee said he hopes it’s a sign that he’s giving back to coaches who have invested so much into the program.

“It means a lot being at Bosco - not because of the offers, but because of how much the coaches invest in us to develop us as players and as men,” he said “I owe all my success to them.”
